| 653586 | 2008-03-28 08:52:00 | well not completely clueless :) I have just acquired my daughters old laptop. It's running XP and she had it set up for wireless and networked to other pc's. It has detected and joined my wireless modem/router and reports excellent signal. When I try to go online, I get server not found etc. Turned off firewall Searched help used wizard Is there some little thing I can do to get it online ? thanks for any help :) cheers Pete |

| 653587 | 2008-03-28 09:08:00 | You got the DNS (Domain Name Server) settings correct? If you put 72.14.207.104 into the address bar and that works, then it will mostly likely be the DNS. 72.14.207.104 is google.co.nz |
