I didn't see any blow by blow accounts of goat sex,and if he wanted to offend for the sake of it,he wouldn't need pictures. Not that Im trying to argue the case for avatars,it matters not. The entire "someone might post something offensive" is just weak, hell,anyone can type something offensive, should we ban words?,letters?....HA......we can all sit at our comps using sign langauage. Oh wait, rude gestures. Plan B. Wait for it... ....We all sit in silence with our eyes closed,mouth shut and hands over our eyes. Safe,unless someone figures out a way to breath offensivly,then we can just wipe that out as well. Muhahahahahahha God I talk a load of **** when I get on a roll..... |

Think of any other forum that allowes avatars. Have they had an issue with "offensive" avatars? I can't think of one case And as for people imitating moderators, why not enable avatars, and disable custom user ranks? Or go one better and give every moderator an image rank? It would be quite hard for people to copy that ;) |

The only reason why Mods got avatars was because a select group of PF1 members decided to abuse the custom title function and call themselves Moderators (and by-passed the filters by using international characters). This was not only misleading but also possibly damaging to PF1 if they made inappropriate comments/slanging fests while masquerading as a "Moderator". Having the avatar for genuine Mods/Admin prevents this as it cannot be faked. It also opens up a whole new ball park for the Mods/Admin with having to then also moderate inappropriate images being used as Avatars. Pretty boring reasons, but quite reasonable I think. :) Take a note from other forums, you do not need a avatar or special title that says Moderator to be a moderator. In fact other forums you don't often know who all the mods are so you basically treat everyone else with respect in case you actually get into a verbal fight with a mod and get yourself banned. All a special avatar and title does is make the moderators look pompous and draconian. :rolleyes: |

Over the years he may have come to the realisation that he has a repellent personlity and now embraces it, sharing his short coming with everyone as loudly and quickly as he can, thus forcing them to make an instant judgement on his nature, which at least saves him the pain as the slow realisation dawns on people that this guy is an outright goose with the intelligence of a gold fish and the charm of an infected wound. |
