354272 2005-05-12 04:49:00 The New York Times has predicted (www.nypost.com) (may require registration) a rise in worker absenteeism in the US in the first couple of days of the Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith opening (19th May in the US), to the tune of some $US627m in lost productivity.

Eh? It may be a good movie, but I don't think I will miss work just to see it.

354273 2005-05-12 06:03:00 Can't say I would waste a day off work by going to the movies, more likely to sit at home in my underpants and make outlandish comments on pressf1...

I had seriously thought about taking an annual leave day to go see it, but it turns out I need that day later next month, so I won't have a spare one :( otherwise I wouldn't be at work next Thursday. It'll have to wait until Thursday evening now I suppose... unless I can leave a bit early ;)
