353953 2005-05-11 05:10:00 Somebody hasnt been to xbox-scene.com in a while.. I saw pics of it last month, headset, remote, wireless controller... All the specs are on xbox-scene too ;) Chilling_Silence (9)
353954 2005-05-11 05:16:00 Dozens of sites have had specs lists, photo's ,concept art that they claim to be the real deal,Funny how they are all different, and how others have found the original devices that people have based there artwork on.

Untill recently only a picture of the contoller has been confimed by MS to be the real thing (and MS leaked it to the site  ),and it was miles away from what most sites were speculating upon as the real deal.

No idea about this latest leak, but its all fluff untill MS make an announcement, everyone is just trying to get traffic to their sites.

353955 2005-05-11 07:15:00 Where was the pic of this controller? Chilling_Silence (9)
353956 2005-05-11 09:10:00 where?

on a site somewhere :D

I read the news on gamespot about once a week, and they have a rumour control section, over the last couple of months there have been constant reports of "leaked" xbox specs, designs, art, photo's etc etc, they do a pretty good job of tracking down the origins of all the mis-information, they also highlighted the one site that MS drop tidbits to inorder to feed the hype, So the info you after is in the gamespot colomns somewhere, to be truthful the Xbox2 controller didn't interest me enough to follow the link, so I have never visited the site in question.....

353957 2005-05-11 10:16:00 if you ahve a look at megagames.com they have an article on the Xbox 360. becuase MS are doing a release of the Xbox information on MTV, 12th May, MTV had all there sensative information, and leaked a couple of photos. there is a photo that is said to be a real image of the Xbox 360 taken whilst at a conference. Man, 3 processors seem rather extravagant. I doubt it is true, because then it would cost too much wouldn't it?

Then again, with 3 processors, probably more people would buy it.

Now, I have no idea if they are a wet dream or based in reality, but if that hardware exsisted for computers it would quite a few thousand dollars worth, and MS intend to sell these for $300US.

That aside, Nobody is going to need to use 3 cpu's,It will take them years to even figure out how to code a game to run off them.

353960 2005-05-11 13:51:00 yea but, the Consoles are just the vessel, not the huge money maker. the money is made in the games. when the Xbox was first released MS were losing cash on the consoles. they were makin the cash on the games.

all this aside, think of all the free publicity MS are getting for the XBOX 360.
Jams (1051)
353961 2005-05-11 13:55:00 MS's entire Xbox division has lost on average 200 million a year since the release of the Xbox, and thats with the game sales added in.

They have also spent 2 billion on Xbox live.

And have earmarked 5 bilion dollars to be spent suporting the Xbox2.

as you can see, it ain't about making money just yet, its about raising the stakes so high no other companies can compete....
