Hello There
Could someone help me how I could get my laptop for use by breaking the password barrier open as I can't remember it now. It was not in use for around three months. It is Toshiba M50 series. OS Windows XP. Thanks guys. |

As Long as the Administrator password is not active, start in safe mode, (press F8 on start up) select safe mode, when the screen opens select the administrators account, go into the control panel, user accounts , select your account and change or remove password, reboot normally and log in. |

If the "password" is a BIOS password, a trip to an accredited Toshiba service centre with proof of ownership will be needed however... |

Aren't you supposed to write passwords on a piece of paper & stick it on your monitor?? PJ ;) :groan: |

The password reset CD has helped me many times. BIOS passwords are a serious pain in the proverbial, but thankfully not many people use them. |
