| 356990 | 2005-05-20 09:55:00 | I'm down in Wellington with my missus to attend her Masters graduation ceremony yesterday . Naturally she met up with some of her colleagues, and one of her classmate friends, whom we agreed to meet for lunch today . So we meet up at Te Papa, and I introduce myself to her partner - and would you believe who it turns out to be???? No other than Mr Bruce Buckman himself!!!  What a hoot! (and what an extraordinarily nice couple they are too!) :) |

She lived in Australia and she asked where I was from. I said a small town in NZ that she would never have heard of. But she had and mentioned her father lived there who it turned out was a friend of mine that I had played golf with the previous Saturday. One degree of separation. | Dally (6292) | ||

The captain turned out to be his next door neighbour he grew up with as a kid 50 odd years ago (Celebrations carried on long after lunch was over!) |

| 356998 | 2005-05-20 22:20:00 | About 15 years ago I bought a new lawn mower, nothing strange in that you say. Anyway about 1997 I met this family who are now good friends. When I went round to there place I noticed they had the same kind of lawnmower as mine. I asked them where and when they bought it. They told me when and where and it turned out to be the same day I bought mine, and they also said they have had trouble with it. We also had taken them in for a 5hr service on the same day. But something stranger had happened. When he picked his up he said it wasn't his as he checked the S/N and it was differant, and the shop said they didn't know where his one was. When I went home I checked the S/N on mine and found that my lawn mower was there's and it was going perfectly. Remember we didn't know each other at the time. Trevor:) |
