| 356249 | 2005-05-18 13:03:00 | Well my brother is working in Opotiki and if the rain gets to where he is... the local rivers will be overflooded.. I also have a family friend in Papatoetoe who lives towards Auckland Airport, they have a creek that runs behind their property and when it rains for ages, the creeks water flow surges and rises a couple of metres.. I'd hate to live near stream/creek/river when it rains heavily for ages :groan: |

I have looked at Civil emergency site and found lots, but was looking for some more arial type shots if pos.... My SIL says the house across the road from her, she used to see, cant see some of them any more..... :( just a bit close for comfort..... I havnt managed to see the news on telly, when its on, so missed most of the drama....like usual not intending to offend, but am worried about my relies up there and for all the homeless people...... beetle :dogeye: |
