654281 2008-08-21 22:56:00 Just to add to my previous note. EPGStream.net have now released the full version of the guide service proxy, and combined with DJKXML, it works like a charm.

1. Download and run DJKXML.exe from http://djkxml.oztheory.com/ - the config is easy - just tick the channels you require, and use the GBPVR configuration rather than SAGETV setup. (works better with Vista Media Centre). Keep all in a simple directory, as you will need to point the guide service proxy at the xml file that djkxml creates.

2. Download XMLTV Guide Pack from EPGStream.net and run the setup. After it runs (and the system reboots) I would avoid the wizard, and just run "GuideServiceproxy" from your program file menu.

3. The config is fairly easy to use. Just point the config screen to use the xml file you have created, and setup your timezone. You will also need to setup your channels list, but you should only need to do this once.

4. Although the guide proxy tells you it is configuring Vista media centre to use the guide, I have found that I needed to go into VMC and set it up to use the guide (very easy, it finds the Guide Proxy and you really just have to agree to its use).

5. Setup a task to run djkxml each day, and you are done. EASY! :clap
