356332 2005-05-21 05:14:00 Personally I would like to see some examples of peoples work with CSS, I know there is heaps that I am only aware of, but never implimented (like WHY even use the ID tag? It seems redundent with Span and Div).

Are we able to post up some sites we have done or is that against the terms and conditions of the site?

356333 2005-05-21 05:20:00 I think we should be able to post links to our designs. I have 2 designs on OSWD at www.oswd.org if anyone wants to give them some constructive criticism.

Also make sure you check out the link to harans designs that was posted.

ID tags are used where something only occurs once in a page. It's useful when you want to link to a section of a page or go back to the top. eg: <a href="#top">

I like the localise site, good design and colors.

I don't have templates like that but here are some of mine....

3 column page totally in CSS

(check the rollovers on the top left, nice place for free text optimised for the search engines)

This is a table / CSS combination, same rollovers for the links, note the CSS graphics in the background tiny slices of color repeated across and down the style.

Very simple beginner CSS, table holds text, graphics and styles using CSS.

That page doesn't look so good in Opera, unfortunately. The heading text is squashed up too much. See if you can fix it?

The other one is good though, as I told you the other day. ;)

I like the text at the top changing with the rollovers. I hadn't thought of using an absolute position to stick it away from the links. Useful info on search optimisation too.

356339 2005-05-21 10:47:00 OH No!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its been made in Word!!!!!!!!

ack ack!!

Please, I can't give a comment on the page, because the fundamental underlying code is spagetti....

First suggestion: get another program (check my download page for a free old version)

THEN you will be able to make a decent webpage :)
Sorry :) :)

The design is all right but the code is a mess.
