357024 2005-05-20 11:55:00 I find it interesting that the closure of the biggest torrent sites (Nova,Loki, etc) caused an increase in traffic on the torrent networks.....

Nice work Mr Prosecuter....

357025 2005-05-20 11:58:00 Have you not heard about TV
It is usually in another room where there are other people to talk to.

I'm sure he knows that...but I'm sure he would prefer to watch Scrubs in full widescreen, minus ads, and without having to wait a whole week for the next episode ;)

Ep 24 of The OC is now available. I think they're only up to number 10 or so on the TV.

357026 2005-05-20 12:02:00 I would rather be dipped in acid and rolled over broken glass then sit through an episode of The OC..... Metla (12)
357027 2005-05-20 12:27:00 Same.

Yes. But you see, NZ TV is 13 episodes behind me. I'd have to wait 13 weeks to see last weeks episode on NZ TV... The reason? A friend told me 3 weeks ago that Scrubs was really good, I didn't watch it, so I downloaded the season. Little did I know that I had downloaded up to episode 23 that day, and NZ was up to episode 10....

And noone else in my family watches Scrubs anyway.

Me too.

357029 2005-05-20 14:13:00 It can sort of be reached sometimes, but an extremely slow and ugly version with no working links. It must be under immense load or something.

------------ Scrap that: This just in:

"Furthermore, TVTorrents, one of the most respected and most easiloy navigable of the television trackers, has gone down for good. the site officially announced its closure on April 26, but I saw functioning links there as late as May 5. Now, however, the domain is unresponsive."

It was working fine for me on Friday. At the moment site reports down for maintenance:

.net not .com

I can still access the site. ;) I wish they'd hurry up and put Dr Who 2005 on. I'm over my limit and exploiting the uncapped 2mbit glory.

357033 2005-05-21 10:52:00 Strange, Both .net and .com give me page not found,.tv gives me...

orry, but TVTorrents is down. No, I will not return. Sorry for any hassles. Thanks for all the memories and good times we had together in #tvtorrents. As of now, the channel will remain open, but stay +m (no talking).

Again, sorry for having to leave, but it became necessary. If you can donate to help with the pending settlement, please do so!

There are also numerous sites reporting the closure of tvtorrents due to legal action...

TVTorrents Closes Shop
Another one bites the dust
Posted on 2005-04-21 16:20:03
Yet another Torrent website has closed under entertainment industry pressure. TVTorrents, considered by many to be one of the top television torrent sites, has closed its doors. A message to the site front-page is scarce on details, simply noting closure "became necessary". The site urges users to donate to aid a "pending settlement" (not advisable, after the LokiTorrent Fiasco).

i would guess those of you still able to access the site are viewing a localy cached page, and that it would apear to still be healthy because the trackers are still active, when supernova went down the trackers were still active for a month or so,gradually dieing off as the swarm moved on.....
