| 654318 | 2008-03-30 21:19:00 | Morning all, Got some friends who have an eMac and are wanting to get set up with Skype and a webcam. Got the audio side of things all sorted with the onboard mic, and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good webcam. I was having a quick read up on webcams for Macs, and it seems a lot of webcams don't have out of the box driver support for OSX. 3 conditions: Must have out-of-the-box support for OSX. (No pissing around websites looking for drivers) Must be able to sit happily on top of an eMac. Must be good quailty. Cost is not an issue (which is a nice change!) :p TIA  |

| 654321 | 2008-03-30 22:33:00 | do your friends happen to have a video camera lying around that has firewire? If so that will work. There are some firewire webcams about as well. have a look here (webcam-osx.sourceforge.net) as well |

Does anyone know about the iSight? |

That would be because Apple used to make its external iSight cam for many years so 3rd party ones weren't needed. |
