357747 2005-05-23 07:37:00 Hi all

I remember years ago on a tv show (beyond 2000 i think), there being a segment on a lamp that turns on at a low light level at say 7am and then slowly builds up to full brightness by say 7:30, so it's more of a natural wake up in the morning
I have a feeling it also used a vitamin D or E light bulb but don't quote me on that part

If any one knows where to get one of these could you please let me know as it may come in useful on these cold dark mornings

Thanks

Nigel

357748 2005-05-23 07:48:00 DO you have a bedmate who could slowly open the curtains ?? TonyF (246)
357749 2005-05-23 07:51:00 For a light to help with Vitamin D production it will need to use UV. Seeing as most of your exposed skin is tucked underneath the covers, this will not help much. Having the light shining in your eyes is also damaging.

Why not just put a spot light on a timer and let it blast on full pointed at your pillow area. Should wake you up. :D

If I had a light which turned on slowly, I would just keep on sleeping right through it all ...

357750 2005-05-23 08:08:00 Well you are supposed to wake up naturally when daylight begins, as for a bedmate who opens the drapes, I'm the one who has to open the drapes, and it's normally still dark down here at this time of year Morgenmuffel (187)
