| 358386 | 2005-05-26 06:06:00 | Being a fan of the Dimbleby's and Frost,not forgetting Arlot,I tend to look for a high standard.Certainly not to found in Kim Hill.I find her strident tones unpleasant to the ear and that unpleasant laugh,she grates me to the core. That said,she largely knows her stuff,but what the use if it is so unpleasant to listen to. |

Even if I did have 10 spare milopen in Inter-Galactic credits, I'd still prefer Kim Hill over Holmes, or Campbell (he of the prehensile upper lip). Having said that about poor old John, it's the brain I admire, not the appearance and lucid incisive interviewing wins out over populist babble for me any day. I want to see blood dripping from the microphone and gore running out under the studio door. I want to see blood and guts, I want to kill, I mean kill, I want to eat dead burned bodies, and.....oops, Alice's Restaurant just crept up on me there :D Deep breaths, under control now, put on smile for the camera, continue............... That's why Helen has been so successful, even the far right admire her intellect and ability, and they know exactly where they stand. Love or hate, what you see is what you get. Brash is still at primary school by comparison, even Rodney has more charisma, or what's-her-name from the Greens, or even the Fondling Father of the CHP, Groper Capill. Cheers Billy 8-{) :stare: |

I don't know what goes on in her life but I can't stand watching someone who just looks so perpetually miserable . John Campbell is a cheerful chappy and that's what I want to see along with my daily dose of disasters and scandals . :thumbs: |

When she came out with Yerrrrssss..... it was like a lion stalking prey, you knew the victim in the other seat was in for a mauling. Take her back to her hunting ground, weekdays on Nat radio. On radio, she would ask a question, and sit back while the prey dug a big hole for themselves. But on TV, there is now the aggressive question, the leer at the camera, and the interrupting of the reply all too often. Maybe this is the style wanted by a fat-head producer, in the belief that this is incisive TV. I agree with Netchicken - back to radio. ( And I don't much like Campbell in the front seat - bring back Caroline ...) |
