They are not articles of current interest or national importance, just trying to ramp up the hype. Why? To make more money for the Rugby union. Makes you wonder who sleeps in who's bed sometimes. |

BTW, they ain't poms, they are English (poms), Welsh, Scottish & Irish. If that lot can get together in a common cause, it should be bloody easy for us to do the same for our side, whatever your thoughts on sport or rugby in particular, it's an opportunity for a bit of unity, but more importantly FUN & ENJOYMENT  rather than being a bunch of boring sad sacks :groan: |

| 358965 | 2005-05-28 04:43:00 | Hey Edward come on, read Murray's post. They're not all poms. If the lions lose then we can blame it on the Scottish, Welsh and Irish. ;) It would be nice to see the kiwis come up with some decent songs, chants and cheers of encouragement for a change (not that I'll be going to any of the games to find out). "Let's Go, Let's Go Kiwis" in a girly sounding squealing tone is rather embarrasing to hear over and over again and will be mocked by the Barmy Army crew. During the English cricket tour a couple of years ago, the kiwis tried to counter the English support by coming up with the "Mad Caps" to rival and outsing their counterparts. It was an embarrasing failure - good support need to be spontaneous and self-motivated. When I went to the NZ v England cricket a couple of years ago, it was amusing to hear a chant of "Stand up if your English" start. Approx 90% of the crowd stood on their feet, leaving the remaining 10% (Kiwis) looking somewhat meek and bewildered. And this was at a weekend so there was no excuse for not having a better turnout. Will the Lions tour be a similar affair with many Kiwis reportedly having sold their tickets for a tidy profit? |

Pommie tourists spending up large is good for our economy and everyone benefits from that one way or another. May be good for the economy, but it would be better if they stayed home and just sent their money. |

Jaundice is a yellow color in the skin, the mucous membranes, or the eyes. The yellow pigment is from bilirubin, a byproduct of old red blood cells. |
