Not at all Cicero.. Depends on what you what. Or value for batteries for your camera.

The Sanyo I mentioned were $5NZ ea. that compares well with NZ prices.

Sure the charger was more..About $50USD.. But hey, for what it does..

As I said, if you dont want to get techical, dont be bothered.

I just love getting technical.
I am amazed how slow battery technology progress's.
They seem to have great difficulty getting consistancy,we may have to send GF over to sort them out. :)

358275 2005-05-26 21:58:00 I've got a Varta 15min charger and it's amazing. The 15min rechargeable cells identify themselves to the charger by a band around the cell that touches two auxillary contacts in the charger base. So an 'ordinary' NiMH cell will charge at slower (2 hour rate). The charger base has a fan to cool the cells while charging and can pump up to 15A !!! into the cells (instantaneously I hope). :nerd: wuppo (41)

The Varta 15-minute cells seem to be a clever idea. There's a pressure switch inside which opens when the internal pressure reaches a set level, and stops the charging. The charging is pulsed.
