| 655051 | 2008-04-01 20:46:00 | The Offical way to remove Vista SP1 From Microsoft (support.microsoft.com). The other way is to go to the control Panel/Programs and Features, top left View Installed updates, scroll through until you locate the service pack and select it, click uninstall. BUT looking at the previous post, IF the command thats there that says " Get Rid of Junk Left over after after you install Vista SP1" has been run - then it tough luck - SP1 is there for good, apart from reinstalling the OS, as that command removes the left over junk and the option to uninstall Vista SP1. Just remember that MS will be pushing out SP1 very soon in the windows updates, so it will more than likely be reinstalled at some time any way unless the PC is not updated. |

| 655052 | 2008-04-01 21:08:00 | I would leave SP-1 on your machine. It works fine...... But.... My automatic patch install from MS was attempting to load SP-1. It kept failing and after a few weeks of ignoring the problem report, It finally loaded. MS must of fixed the problem. If you take it out, I think you will have all kinds of grief. darroll |
