655004 2008-04-01 09:12:00 Hi, I have just recently upgraded the ram in my Laptop and wish to allocate more memory to my Graphics Card - ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 - Currently set to 128mb but apparently you can upgrade it to 3 hundred and something? Tried the Bios but it wont let me select the settings. Running latest version of ATI Catalyst and drivers, Vista Home premium (No Service PK 1) on an Acer Aspire 5100. :thanks McBatman (13568)
655005 2008-04-01 20:51:00 The only options are in the BIOS, if you can't then you can't. pctek (84)

I think the max for that laptop is 128MB.

32, 64, or 128MB.

Look in the BIOS though, and double check.

655007 2008-04-03 21:28:00 You are talking about Hypermemory (Nvidia calls it Turbocache)?
Thats not more than good pr gag, the connection between ram and vga is much slower than vram and vga.
128MB (the own memory of this card?) for this card is enough, this card is to slow to use more ram efficiently.
More VRam don't always mean more power.

To answer your question. If this vga use Hyperemory (it sounds like), than the vga card take the ram by himself, if the own ram is crowded.

655008 2008-04-04 02:45:00 I'm pretty sure that the X1300 has its own dedicated VRAM (the X1600 certainly does). You can't allocate more. Nermal (7077)
