656173 2008-04-05 07:43:00 hello
I was wondering what would be a good CD/DVD burning program.
Must say that I am out of touch as to what is good and not to fancy.

656174 2008-04-05 07:48:00 If you want something free, but not that fancy

This (http://www.cdburnerxp.se)

Or This (http://www.imgburn.com/)

Or something like Nero, if you want to pay for it

Thanks Speedy
Have you used any of the "smaller" programs?
I have seen Nero on someone else's machine and I think it is to fancy for what I need /want.
Any other suggestions?

656176 2008-04-05 07:56:00 I tried the first link I gave a while ago. Pretty easy interface. Just select and add. I dont think it gives u any fancy menus to make up Speedy Gonzales (78)
656177 2008-04-05 08:03:00 DeepBurner (http://www.deepburner.com) is a decent one - it supports saving to ISO files too. jwil1 (65)
656178 2008-04-05 08:05:00 ImgBurn is great for those basic burning tasks. I use it across a number of XP and Vista machines here never had a problem with it. stormdragon (6013)

Hi jiwil
Thanks.
So it can compile(save) as an iso file?
Have you used it? Happy with it?

Yep, works great. Compiles fast too.

Still use it frequently - it's in my list of "essential apps" :D

EDIT; then use BurnCDCC (www.terabyteunlimited.com) to write it to a CD.

Second BurnAware. It is seriously light-weight but has all the functions you'd need.
