| 360700 | 2005-06-02 23:20:00 | I'm writing a tribute song with a particularly important/relevant title, in anticipation of a famous musician's death (yeah morbid I know, but these things happen). The song won't be released until the artist passes away, but I'd like to be sure that no-one else can use the same title. Is this possible that anyone knows? I know that there are many songs which are entirely different but have the same title, so is my idea futile? |

Sometimes the borrowing of the progression is intentional, sometimes it is not, a composer's subconscious mind can store something it likes and then reinvent it later." ) So I guess it's really like trying to copyright a phrase or sentence. |
