"3 people died on our roads today", or "50 people died of obesity and/or long term legal drug abuse" just doesn't cut the media mustard..... Why focus on things we can control, such as excessive eating, consumption of alcohol, smoking tabbaco etc, when we can focus on things we cant, like small but random chance of falling over with the flu? Much more exciting that be! |
