^what he said. At that price, it will be a TN panel, and they will never be as good as a CRT or PVA/IPS panel for colour accuracy.

But for gaming, TN has typically has fastest response times (which aren't important as all screens are fast enough now), but more importantly TN screens have the least input lag which is apparently crucial if you are a competitive professional FPS gamer. Some people notice it, some people dont.

656273 2008-05-08 06:31:00 I am pretty sure that is a TN screen, so it would not be good for colour accuracy and the viewing angles, compared to the more expensive VA type screens . But for the price, and gaming use, it should be fine .

To be honest, the screen being TN etc doesn't make a difference for me, as I mentioned, when it comes down to being affordable, decent features, I'll take it . But yeah, its pretty good for gaming (even though I don't play games that much, except for GTA4 on the ps3) . And what I meant by 'professional work' was more in line for students studying in an engineering degree or something akin to that, like myself, as the screen has ample space for me to run my engineering software side by side, and at the same time, if I want to unwind, just switch to HDMI and relax .

So just to re-iterate, its a great, not excellent, screen with which you can use hd ready gear and good graphics (well, i can certainly see improvement over my old 15inch phillips LCD lol) .
