I suppose it's more what cartoons do...Na, real dogs do it too, but maybe its something you don't see unless you have one? My little tart of a dog (http://pugwash.orcon.net.nz) does all the time, she's so good at getting all the food, attention and effection she wants that i very rarely have to feed her or anything myself! Its that look she gives to people, and they just submit and give her whatever they think she might want. Now if i could just figure out how to do that myself................ :D |

We need more (and better) emoticons Mary, the dynamic range of expression available from the present sample is too limited and some are just plain useless. Lol  looks like a terminally depressed and very "off" oyster, blush  looks like a refugee from the practical session at a Proctologists' conference, and :D looks more like somebody about to strain their lunch through their teeth than a grin. Perhaps i like it because it looks phycotic? I also like the way that the range is rotated forcing people to either remember their favourates, or consider a different emotion.... Perhaps there's some suttle exersize in possitive mind games going on here? |

When the new vBulletin PF1 forum was launched, people moaned about the range of emoticons. Mary kindly went and loaded up an expanded set (28 emoticons in set now), and people are still not happy and want yet more? :illogical Some people hate them, some love them, too many or not enough. Can't make everyone happy. | Jen (38) | ||
