| 656119 | 2008-04-04 06:36:00 | I love my Firefox browser, at the moment I have a proxy button that I have to click to change the proxy setting to suit home or work. Now I don't have to do this with I.E. With Old blue, (I.E.) there is an option to check to ignore the Lan settings if you're connected over dialup..is it possible to do this with Firefox so I don't have to check this button all the time. It's only one button I know but when I concect back up to my work network I have to click the button then restart firefox. Just looking for alternatives. Thanks for any suggestions. NT. |

I don't fully understand what you are saying - that is probably because of my lack of knowledge rather than your explanation. However, would a possibility be to use a U3 flash drive with the U3 version of Firefox ? Misty :2cents: |

| 656122 | 2008-04-04 07:57:00 | From this article (kb.mozillazine.org), it seems that Firefox uses the IE settings for autoconnection. So if it's set up in IE to connect when there's no LAN, this looks like it might work. I use the MM3 Proxy Switch myself for both Firefox and Thunderbird at school and home, and from near the bottom of this page (www.proxy-offline-browser.com), it looks like you can use this to look at IE's settings too. |
