This one (www.dse.co.nz) doesnt look like its got anywhere for one Or this one (www.dse.co.nz) Actually whats the point in them needing one, you would have to be in a house or near a power point to use it Unless youre planning on carrying an aerial around with you |

The cards won't work particularly well without them, unless you're somewhere with a very strong TV signal. |

| 657320 | 2008-04-09 10:28:00 | External as in vcrs or whatever uses rca connections Like on PCI tuners (like this one), its got svideo You can connect a VCR to it (with an RCA adapter), so u can use the PVR program and record whatever from a Video. So you can burn it to DVD. Connect video out from VCR to it, and audio out from a VCR to line in, so you get sound when you record from it. As it says on the links I gave Easily capture video and still images from the integrated TV tuner or external source (as in a VCR / video camera) |

| 657322 | 2008-04-09 22:17:00 | We use a Pinnacle PCTV USB 2 device. Bought it about a year ago for travelling in the motorhome. Can plug whatever aerial is handy into it (home, rabbits ears, bus aerial, whatever). Works well but has one feature that drives me nuts. When travelling we have to reset the TV stations in different areas. It has two separate programs - the set up program and the TV program. If you are watching TV and need to readjust the settings you have to close it to open the setup. Both programs are slow to load and it becomes just a tad frustrating. Settings can be things such as rescanning for channels, changing drives for recording, changing quality of recordings etc. It would be MUCH better if there was only one program! We were complete novices at this when we bought the thing and I haven't looked to see if others do it the same way. |
