| 657213 | 2008-04-09 00:22:00 | Sounds like maybe one or more of your OE database folders may have some issues... Make sure viewing of hidden files and folders is enabled. 1. Close all programs so that you are at your desktop. 2. Double-click on the My Computer icon. 3. Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options. 4. After the new window appears select the View tab. 5. Put a checkmark in the checkbox labeled Display the contents of system folders. 6. Under the Hidden files and folders section select the radio button labeled Show hidden files and folders. 7. Press the Apply button and then the OK button and shutdown My Computer. 8. Now your computer is configured to show all hidden files. Make sure OE is closed. Naviate to C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\some long file name\Microsoft\Outlook Express If there is more than one folder with a long file name, check in OE, under Tools>Options>Maintainence>Store Folder and look at the file name there. Copy the 'Outlook Express' folder to your desktop or somewhere easily accessible. Double check your database files are in there, then delete the contents of the C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\some long file name\Microsoft\Outlook Express folder. In that folder, delete any Outbox.dbx files. Open OE, it will re-create the basic database folders, go to File>Import>Messages>Outlook Express 6>Import Mail from an OE6 Store directory>OK>Browse to where the Outlook Express folder you copied out of application data is located, and select (don't open, just select) the folder. Click next. It will import all your folders again. Hopefully that will fix whats happening. Repeat the first process if you want to hide those files again. |

| 657217 | 2008-04-16 04:23:00 | Sorry, I should have posted my results: The Date The customer had changed the date (somehow) to 2000, thus all e-mails sent were put in the Sent Items but at the bottom of the folder! There you go - one to remember to recheck - and this is the 2nd time he has done it! Thanks for your help. |
