657101 2008-04-08 08:54:00 Looking at this (www.kiwiwebhost.co.nz/) and this (http:)

Are they good? Looking for a good and reliable email hosts with good spam filter. Don't want to get chunks of spam emails everyday.

Other recommendations welcome.

Cheers

657102 2008-04-08 09:16:00 My hosting and email services are really reliable, and include an optional Spam Assassin service along with user created filters.

PM me with your requirements for more info if interested.

I know someone who had problems with the first one, and their website was down for days while the hosting was fixed. Have a look at their status page, as it shows the outages they have. Basically you get what you pay for, although it depends what you are using the website for. Personally I like the cpanel branded control panel, as it offers heaps of features, so look for one that offers it and it must be version 11, which is the newest version. If the host is using an older version, it means that their hosting may net be up to date and as secure as it should be.

You will be happy with both of them, I have yet to her anything bad about either one .

Also webbase is owned by Webdrive, and they are quite good .

Hope this helps :)

Don't limit yourself to CPanel though. We have dropped CPanel in favour of Interworx, which is just as powerful but much better designed. :) maccrazy (6741)

Hi bk T
I can definitely recommend the second one as for the spam. During the last 3 years I had to complain once and from there it went to one or two spam emails/day which I think is acceptable.

657107 2008-04-08 22:44:00 Just as another thought ... why not simply get a domain name, and use Google Apps with GMail? After a large price-hike with my former email address hosted in the states, I thought I'd give this a go. I have an NZ domain through Discount Domains (www.discountdomains.co.nz/), costing $31 and lots of email addresses/website/shared calendars/etc with Google Apps for free.

GMail supports POP3, so you can still use your existing mail client.

Just another thought to throw in the mix!

657110 2008-04-09 00:10:00 Gmails actually a really good idea, and definitely worth looking into :)

Ive just recently had some of my other emails start getting redirected through them, it makes searching them SO much easier too! :D
