| 656827 | 2008-04-07 09:34:00 | Getting rid of the desktop Background image shouldn't be a problem - try this: Normally you would right click the desktop, but that wont work in this case: SO ---- Go to control Panel/Display/Desktop Tab/ Customize Desktop/Web Tab/ delete any entries there, and untick "My Current Home Page" Click Ok/OK and your desktop should go blank, if it doesn't repeat till Desktop Tab, and select another from the list. You Need to clean out the PC as well - Download Malewarebytes (www.malwarebytes.org), and from my sig below, Spybot S&D, Ccleaner - install and run, also install & update the antispyware and run the programs. What Antivirus are you using, you need either Avast (www.avast.com/) which is free or Nod32 (http:) - Not free, but you get a 30 day trial. 1 Or the Other, not both. Along with the Hijack Log speedy asked for should clean it out. |

Choose your usual account . Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis . bat to start the script . Type Y to begin the cleanup process . It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot . Press any Key and it will restart the PC . When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons . Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report . txt (Report . txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum) .
