657243 2008-04-09 06:05:00 get the latest nvidia drivers, then try again. If it doesnt blue screen after that, its a driver problem.

P.S Blu ray playback requirements are quite steep. An 8600GT might not be your idea card, try the cheap 8800GT, works way better.

yeah, I was just gonna say same thing, that card aint the best, oh and do you know if that particular card is hdcp compatible? not that im sure it has anything to do with this particular problem but it could...? Atleast one thing you could check is whether your disc has any scratches on it. I heard that blu-ray discs are supposed to be very sensitive and all. Is it possible at all to try that disc in another player? Do you have other discs to test on your player?

657244 2008-04-09 22:16:00 The 8600GT has hardware decoding of HD video built in, the 8800GT doesn't so the 8600 would be the better card for this as the CPU useage will be much lower.

If it's failing at the exact same place each time, then its most likely the disc. Can you skip to that part & make it fail?

PowerDVD v8 is out recently, but I doubt whether it will fix this kind of issue.

Imo also the cards with the new G92 chip have this feature.
