| 657258 | 2008-04-09 04:58:00 | Asus laptop, relatively new wireless router from telecom. But Laptop crapped out and had to have XP put back on. What would make this laptop keep disconnecting from the wireless router. Have another work laptop and it seems fine. Is almost like the signal strength is not strong enough but am practically sitting on the router. (P.S. not actually mine but asked by a friend and thought if you give me some suggestions then I'll sound a lot smarter next time I see him...he he..thanks.) NT. |

| 657259 | 2008-04-09 05:16:00 | Did you download the latest wireless chipset drivers from the chipset manufacturers' website (i.e. not Microsoft) when you rebuilt the OS? Have you checked to make sure that the suspect laptop isn't having an IP conflict with another device on your network? |
