| 362198 | 2005-06-08 21:20:00 | Is there a way of using a cellphone / camera / PxtPhone and putting the photo on a web site? I've been told by two Vodafone users that they think it is possible, but Vodafone customer service says no, only if the photo is incompatible with the recipient's phone. Telecom, maybe? The reason I am asking is that my son has a new camera phone, Vodafone, but I do not have a camera phone. My bro in law also has a new camera phone, Telecom. So last night I went on Vodafone website and used their PXTWorld to send a photo (from my PC, under 100 Kb) to their phones....but after 10 hours neither have received the photos. Three calls to 3 different customer service people at Vodafone gave me 3 various answers except all said no problems have been reported about PXTWorld. One told me to send the photo as an email attachment, using Vodafone email. Well, their log in page does not work at all. Any similar experiences that PF1ers can share....? |

I have a few on my site, if you go to the main page, top right and type "builder" in the search thing, you should find a few pics I took with my phone. |

Thanks Dave, but can a Vodafone user easily email a photo using the PXT phone? (Need instructions to send to my son.) |

| 362201 | 2005-06-09 00:31:00 | I send photos and view photos sent to me on the vodaphone website all the time. I have a vodaphone cell phone but its only got a sim1 card in it and the phone has no camera. Whenever a photo is sent to me, i get a txt from vodaphone saying that someone has sent me a pxt and it can be viewed on their website. I log on and view them. To send a photo i take a pic with my camera, upload to my computer, resize it using the microsoft powertools addon tool (right click, resize etc) then from the vodaphone website i use the browse my computer button to upload the file from my computer. Very easy to do but not as easy as having a pxt ph :p although the pics taken on my camera and sent thru the website are alot better quality than most of the pxt phone photos even when compressed (mind you it is a 7 megapixel camera :o ). I have noticed lately (in the last week or two) that i havent been recieving pxt's sent to me thru the website lately though so not sure whats up there?. Thats enough rambling on from me..... |

(Need instructions to send to my son.) ok, well I can really only give you the details from my phone... basically I start to write a PXT/MMS, I add a picture to it, click ok, then when it asks for a number to be entered, I change the input to T9(for letters), then type my email address, and hit send... about 5 mins later it has arrived. |

| 362203 | 2005-06-09 09:48:00 | My son, in Sydney, using Vodafone, just sent me a PXT and I was able to view it on http://pxtworld.vodafone.co.nz/ Evidently PXTing cannot be done Vodafone to Telecom, or vice versa, and Vodafone said PXTs cannot be sent internationally (no guarantee due to different formats)... but as I said, Vodafone OZ PXTs can be sent to Vodafone NZ via their website. |

| 362204 | 2005-06-09 13:29:00 | Obviously this varies from phone to phone . On my crappy wee Alcatel i: media album > my images (select pic) > view (OK) > send (OK) > validate (OK) >subject (OK) send to one(OK) (either type email, or) > directory > suitable contact > contacts email . . . . . . Then i usually delete the picture because the extreemly nasty phone screen doesnt do the somewhat nasty camera justice . :yuck: Having said that i'll contridict my self by pointing out that the current wallpaper i have for desktop 4 is a pic i took from my cellphone camera . I might add that just about everything i typed above was the default option, as in one i don't have to scroll to find, and that i have yet to be charged for data sent from my fone to my unrelated email address . |
