| 658392 | 2008-04-13 08:03:00 | Hi There Does anyone know what is the MAXIMUM SPEED of Naked ADSL Slingshot is offering for its PRO plan. What kind of speed after all is coming out of the copper wire? Even with the so called fibre optic cable used by Telstra Clear, the speed for the last one week is 30-35kb/s when they offer five times the speed of dial-up. |

"Theoretically" up to 7.6MBit/s over ADSL. TelstraClear doesn't do FTTH yet - they only do FTTC, and then use coax between your house and that termination point. In any case, their network is usually faster than Telecom's. |

They seem very vague on that, are they offering ADSL1 or ADSL2+ ? Whatever they have, YOU will still be limited by the length of your copper cablepair and the state of your house's internal wiring. |
