658294 2008-04-13 00:48:00 Which Board you use and what is your Ram configuration (with clock). Crow1985 (6683)
658295 2008-04-13 00:49:00 Depends what the brand/model of the mobo is.

You'll have to find this out first.

And it'll also depend on HOW old it is.

are these the specs you needed to know?

Intel Celeron
CPU 2.00Ghz
256MB RAM of DDR
NVidia GeForce 6200.
The machine itself is about 4 years old.

658297 2008-04-13 01:39:00 Motherboard model is what's important in this case. stormdragon (6013)

Correct, we need to know the brand/model of the motherboard.

Since, depending on what it is, it may or may not support the amount of ram, you want to install on it

658299 2008-04-13 02:01:00 Ok, so how do I find that out ? Capt.Hook (5586)
658300 2008-04-13 02:06:00 Should you read off from the mobo. Crow1985 (6683)

Maybe put the money you want to spend on RAM toward a new PC.
The specs you state makes it a very slow PC indeed compared to current PC's

658302 2008-04-13 02:40:00 Ok, heres what I found out:

Board; NEC Computers International SiS650 1.0
Bus clock; 100 Megahertz.
BIOS; American Megatrends Inc. 3.0B

Bantu, if you have nothing useful to add, please keep out.
