| 658073 | 2008-04-11 17:33:00 | Dell Dimension 2400 Windows XP On the 31st March 2008 about 80 unwanted folders appeared in "My Documents" folder within 3 minutes. They all seem to have associations with Device Manager. I don't know how and why this happened. The only unusual thing I did around that time was installing a Vimicro USB PC Webcam. Below are the names of the first and last 10 folders.There are many in between. ACPI Fixed Feature Button ACPI Power Button ACPI Uniprocessor PC Audio Codecs Broadcom 440x 10 100 Integre... BtCap,WDM Audio Capture BtCap, WDM Video Capture BtXBar, WDM Crossbar CD-ROM Drive Communications Port USB Root Hub USB Root Hub#1 USB Root Hub#2 USB Root Hub#3 Video Codecs Volume Manager WAN Miniport (IP) WAN Miniport (L2TP) WAN Miniport (PPPOE) WAN Miniport (PPTP) Can someone please tell me where these folders belong. | 658074 | 2008-04-11 21:49:00 | I would say they are part of your webcam. Those folders are in the right place, but I think they should of been in a folder called Vimicro in My Documents. I would leave them as they are or else your webcam might not work. :) |
