364140 2005-06-15 05:33:00 We had a good one the other day here (ANZA, CA.,) that shook us pretty good too. Shook books and stuff off the walls..on Sunday Morning, 8:32 SurferJoe46 (51)
364141 2005-06-15 05:39:00 Dunno whats it like over there but here in NZ we get quakes pretty much all the time, with maybe 1 or 2 a month big enough to give the house a shudder, and 1 every 3 months big enough to shake the **** out of everything.

I spent a number of years in Aussie, had no earthquakes, Come back to NZ for a weekend and a small one hit, Give me the fright of my life and I went and stood in a doorway, The rest of the people in the room were much amused by my reaction.....

364142 2005-06-15 05:41:00 We here in San Jacinto, are actually at over 1,600 feet above sea level, and about..er...100 miles away from the ocean...but I have friends below sea level I called fast...they are moving to higher ground..but so far, no tsunami.

We are a lot of little communities here: Hemet, San Jacinto, Idyllwild, Anza, Winchester..etc..but we are spread a little apart.

364143 2005-06-15 05:55:00 fond memories of living in Whanga as a kid... bed bouncing across the room while the walls started to crack. Who says Wanganui ain't no fun?!

I'd say you're safe from tsunamis SurferJoe but I have a brother who lives in San Diego, apartment on the marina so I assume that means just above water level :)

He's a keen yachtie so I assume he knows how to swim. Funny thing is he always said to me "One day CA will just slip into the ocean... at least I'll be having fun when it goes".
