363706 2005-06-14 02:16:00 I'm going through my crap, and included in it is some photo albums of first day covers going from 1962, my year of birth, through to many years later. I have no interest in them, have other prioritys, and quite frankly could do with the cash at the moment. Its also winter, therefore i have little work.

I'm based in Christchurch, and would prefer to sell them locally for as much as possable with the least mucking about.

Any ideas??????????

363707 2005-06-14 02:35:00 Trade Me?

The stamp dealer shops probably won't give you much for them but you could try. No idea where they are though... or if they are even still around.

Try Trade Me. ;)

The first day covers most probably include Health Stamps which would fetch much more from overseas collectors than from local collectors.

You would need to get some idea of what they are worth beforehand though.

In my day, one used to consult the Stanley Gibbons catalogue book, no idea if that is still going.

Then drip feed onto Ebay to get maximum return.

Have a look here:

Just some off the cuff thoughts, but I don't think you will make your fortune :)
