658234 2008-04-14 10:39:00 I wouldnt bother with any board with a 'via' chipset for a start. 2nd, I would stay away from Nvidia unless you must have SLI. The Intel chipsets (p35,x38 & x48) are the most stable for clocking.

I am considering for myself the asus p5kc, because it is reasonably priced, has 4 SATA ports, and good cooling for the chipset. It also has 2 slot for DDR3 as well as 4 slots for DDR2.

658235 2008-04-14 21:52:00 LOL yeh 5 HDD's 2 ide and 3 SATA I still have like 4 satas and 2 ide hdds in a box here would like to us them but cannot find a case to hold lots of hdds

One of these (www.coolermaster.com) should easily hold all of those HDDs and much more.

They're not that cheap though, but get good reviews.

Yeh that would hold them but dont like the case. I no icute have a new case out to like that but i have had a icute S901 5g case before and built a custom pc case out of it. The icute cases are to thin and floppy.
Was thinking about getting a mountain modz cube case sfrom the us but postage is so much of a rip. holds 18 hdds the one i was looking at.

mobo i wouldnt need SLI as not realy into gaming but i do like a game now and then. loved the NFS's but over them now.

Look at this new mobo.
