Apparently one poor guy was so stuck he had to spend a few days in hospital healing. Also why would the council pay $1200 if you fell in? Didn't know you could sue in NZ for that sort of thing. |

| 364505 | 2005-06-17 06:40:00 | Well I thought I was having a bad day at work today. Whilst having my bad day I was keeping an eye on a house movving firm doing a rather splendid job of getting a large 2 story manor house jacked up and ready to move. They were going just fine up until it fell off the truck. Now if you have never seen a couple of guys standing there looking at a large pile of rubble scratching their heads, I can recomend it :) | Sam I Am (1679) | ||

Well finally played it using RealAlternative. However what a kerfuffle ! I kept getting put on the path to installing RealAlternative even though it had been already installed. Then I was getting messages to close Mozilla so I closed Mozilla Firefox - all five tabs. Still did not work. Kept getting that cycle - so when it asked me to close Mozilla, I did not and lied, ---- and everything worked well then. Misty :@@: |

| 364512 | 2005-06-17 09:12:00 | Yeah I'm holding out (haven't hit the bottle yet) but am enjoying reading all the other tales of woe - they make me feel so much better! That's a great story Rob99 - I kind of hope most Kiwi's would do the same for anyone in strife. As for the house falling off the truck, thanks for sharing that Sam - my leg pales into insignificance! I knew a guy that got his tie stuck in a paper shredding machine. Take a moment to visualise the blind panic of him scrabbling for the off switch, as his face is getting pulled very slowly towards the shredder - now that was funny! He was ok but his tie ended up on the wall as a souvenir... |
