| 364045 | 2005-06-15 10:53:00 | Lecture starts at 7 PM. At the moment it is general chit chat about the upcoming lecture series, etc. Hello Steve. I listened to part of the prelim chitchat, and then at 7 PM settled down in a comfy chair with a glass of wine and listened to the start of the talk... woke up at 7.45 having missed most of the good bits. Ah well .. |

I listened to part of the prelim chitchat, and then at 7 PM settled down in a comfy chair with a glass of wine and listened to the start of the talk... woke up at 7.45 having missed most of the good bits. Ah well .. Hey Tony, the speaker was not Calahan as I thought. If it had been Calahan you would not have fallen asleep. As it was, the lecture was just ordinary. Calahan is truly outstanding. I recorded tonight's talk and will play it back so that I can hear the 5 minutes in the middle where I dozed off! Anyway, the substance of the talk was good and served to brush off quite a few cobwebs in my memory bank. Unfortunately I believe this is the last of the series. I sure wish Radio NZ would offer the lectures as MP3s off the Net, say for $5. Normally any program is $25 but they are offering all 5 for $100. Digital Life at 8.30 PM was a repeat which I heard on Sunday. Interesting though - on office PC porn, etc. |
