364721 2005-07-11 23:49:00 I wear my hypocrisy on my sleeve.....especially when behind the wheel, pulling cunning stunts that would give a cop a heart attack while abusing others for not using their indicators.....

I also very slowly pull out in front of fast moving vehicles, and refuse to slow down if a slow moving vehicles crosses my path....

Muhahahahaha.....Coming to a residential road near you soon......

364722 2005-07-12 00:21:00 To know they are hypocritical, you need to realise that the speaker doesn't truly believe them - and you may not get that knowledge until later.I feel i must put a slightly differant slant on that sentence.....

Most of the hypocrits i have met fully believe what they are saying, but seem to have an enourmous blindspot when it comes to judging themselves and thier own actions.

My rent-a-protest example above had someone who was all for us using less irreplacable resourses, and would go as far as chaining herself to a tree to protest against "them" felling of some of our last native rainforest. She was not prepared to go as far as leading by example, as she had her own house recently built using the finest freshly milled native timber.

364724 2005-07-12 01:20:00 It's time you started a new thread, James, for your next query.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm getting sick of scrolling through the old stuff by now to answer your latest.
Time for a change, lad...
This far into 2 pages is really overkill.

364726 2005-07-12 03:17:00 For example, Graham Capil led the Christian Heritage Party preaching family values during elections. But in his private life he turned out to be a child molester. So he said one thing, but did the other. He would have to be the biggest hypocrite I can think of right now and a prime example of one of the worst types you can get. FoxyMX (5)
364727 2005-07-12 04:25:00 Bravo! Laura....me too SurferJoe, Laura, if you are still looking at the start of a thread and scrolling to the end, let me offer you this advice......

Laura - use the "end" key on the top right of your keyboard - then merely scroll up to the last post you read.

Personthingy - apologies if you thought I was repeating your example - which I was, because it was a very good one. But I added the Capil's name in the hope that James might have heard of the court prosecution.

Time for a new thread James.

But I added the Capil's name in the hope that James might have heard of the court prosecution. No worrys... Lets face it, Mr Capil has to be one of the best examples of hypocrisy we could find. He led a political/religeous movement preaching high moral standard, and frequently attacking what he himself was guilty of.

A perfect example of hypocrisy indeed!
