658214 2008-04-12 14:42:00 Does Ad-Aware prevent?

I don't have it now, but it only ever identified stuff (during a scan), then removed it when I did have it.
Maybe I didn't set it properly..?

Dunno about the latest version, but traditionaly it doesn't live-scan, ie it only works retrospectively when you run it.

[edit] ah, Bees sheds the light. Thx.

658219 2008-04-12 23:42:00 Adaware 2007 is not nearly as good as previous versions, I dumped it a while ago. I actually find the latest version of Spybot S&D does a really good job. wratterus (105)

My findings:

Boclean isn't terribly useful.

SD Free is good, however I've found it causes memory conflict issues on a few PCs.
AdAware 2007 causes BSODs on a few machines, for that matter.

Spyware Blaster wasn't that great either.

CCleaner is a housekeeping tool, so doesn't come into it.
