| 364293 | 2005-06-16 03:05:00 | Todays mail advises me that Westpac are to charge $1 a transaction at their own ATM machines, $5 to withdraw at a branch. To hell with customer services. So if you total fees are $19.99 that month you pay nothing. If it was $21.50, you'd pay $1.50 I've never gone over $19.50 ever. |

I think you'll find that these charges are for using your credit card eg if you want a cash advance on your credit card using an ATM you will be charged $1. Just using your ATM card remains free (that is at a Wespac ATM) D |

The mailout is clearly headed ....CREDIT CARD changes When you withdraw cash from your credit facility its not your money its a loan. You can choose to withdraw your own money from your own account and not incur the charge. I'm trying not to sound as a spokesperson for the banks as I think that their charges are mostly a ripoff - but you should try to get your facts right. |
