| 659302 | 2008-04-16 00:04:00 | Hi Guys Sorry to be so dumb, but I am trying to use Excel to calculate the cost price of an item. Say it will retail for $ 8.95 and the retailer wants to make 100% markup, I need a formula to give me the price I must sell it to the retailer at. This is so that I can "Play" with several retail prices. Any suggestions ? |

EDIT Wait, I see. Try (where A1 is the price the retailer will sell at, A2 is his markup in percent, with % symbol, A3 is your wholesale price where the formula goes) =A1-A2/2 Assuming you cannot go under 50% of RRP. It might help if you explain it a bit more. |
