| 659195 | 2008-04-15 21:26:00 | I've been playing with FreeviewHD, using the technique mentioned on these forums a while ago. Everything is going well, except the EPG is very limited - it only seems to show programmes which are due to play within the next couple of hours. In theory, FreeviewHD should be supplying 8 days of EPG data (according to their website). Does anyone know what the problem may be, and what I can do to fix it? |

| 659196 | 2008-04-16 04:51:00 | um..can't find the post in geekzone that I want but basically, from memory.. the EPG data broadcasted is only the current show and the next show, but for the whole week the electronic guide they use for nz's dvb-t is using..this other standard that I can't remember... It's mentioned in geekzone somewhere to have the whole electronic guide you can import it using other programs, fetched from tvnz's site or freeviews/etc..look around geekzone, it's somewhere in there too ..not sure why I can't get their search function to work properly.. edit: MHEG5 EPG..that's the one~ |

| 659197 | 2008-04-16 05:04:00 | somebody If you are using Freeview HD via a PC TV Card then you will not have much luck with the EPG. If you are using a decoder then I have no idea where they get their EPG from but via PC cards there is software to generate it but unlike a few months ago when we got a week now it is almost a daily update to get any EPG and some channels none at all. There is something on Reven's forum about it all |

| 659198 | 2008-04-16 05:15:00 | Basically, it seems that for freeviewHD, they are only transmitting now/next data over EIT (which is where programs get the EPG from.) for the rest of the epg, they are sending it by MHEG5, which from what I can gather, is very difficult to extract the data from.
