| 366091 | 2005-06-22 04:59:00 | In my CardFile and saved notification emails I have lots of links to threads and posts from the old forum that no longer work. Are those links now completely useless or is there some magic trick to making them work again? Here is one link, just for an example: pressf1.pcworld.co.nz |

| 366092 | 2005-06-22 06:05:00 | you could try replacing pressf1.pcworld.co.nz with pressf1.co.nz I dont know if its the same thread though. |

| 366094 | 2005-06-22 06:15:00 | Metla is right - I tried that sal, but it doesn't go to the correct thread. The link that I used for the example belongs to this thread: pressf1.pcworld.co.nz Totally different. In another example this old thread: pressf1.pcworld.co.nz actually belongs to this one: pressf1.pcworld.co.nz Maybe the Gnomes may be able to help. |

There are also some links where I know the subject, eg copying audio cassettes, but I can't find the exact thread that I am looking for. Some of the threads that turn up in searches have links to other threads but they don't work either so I just keep going around in circles. I never dreamt something like this would happen when I saved them all, otherwise I would have copied and pasted all the info that I wanted to keep. :( Looks like I am just going to have to throw away all my saved URLs... and lose all that precious information. :dogeye: |

Their customers were not pleased. The cause? "Database indexing problems after an upgrade". |

Apparently to limit downtime, they are going to keep the servers running on the back of the truck (http:) during the move. | sal (67) | ||
