| 365494 | 2005-06-20 13:08:00 | G'day, I have a Samsung DVD-V7000 DVD/VCR combo (from Australia - Region 4) and I have successfully used the following code to make it multi-region: 1. Activate 'language options' menu using the remote control. 2. Press 1 3. Press 'Set Up' 4. Press 'Subtitle' 5. Press 7, 6, 8, 8, 4 6. Press 9 7. Open tray 8. Press 'power off' using remote 9. Press 'power on' 10. You are ready to play. However, after performing this hack two or three times (due to relocating the player), it is no longer effective. When 9 is pressed, which should cause the region code in the top left-hand corner of the display to change to '9', the original number ('4' in my case) remains unchanged. Is there any way that the player can be reset so that the hack is effective again? Or is there an alternative hack that combats this problem? Thanks. |

You might have run into a restriction on the total number of changes allowed. :( It will be worth looking at all the setup menus for a "Default" button, to set all options to standard. That might save you. Why did you do this repeatedly? Surely setting it to "multizone" once would be all that's necessary. ;) |
