659003 2008-04-15 12:25:00 Remember WHERE the connections are going to in the case.

Pull all the power connections out in the case. (from the hdd's / cd's whatever is in the case)

Look at the back of the case there's 4 screws unscrew them.

Pull the PSU out, put the new PSU screw it back in. Then re-connect the power connections. Finito!

659004 2008-04-15 12:30:00 I'm A kid, I can't get money just like that sorry, I'm trying to find a cheaper, sata converting or molex splitting alternative but I guess not. CaptainVincent (76)
659005 2008-04-15 22:04:00 DC ouput: 300w (+3.3V & +5V= 130W MAX
+3.3v-20a(ORG),+5V-26.0A(RED),+12V1-8.0A(YEL)
+12V2-14.0a(yel/black),+5vsb-2.0A(PURP),-12V-0.8A(BLUE)

9600gt reccomends 350w but I will risk this so pretend it's 350w. Is there any hope? can I use the splitter or sata to molex?

659006 2008-04-15 22:06:00 No its probably too low (The PSU anyway).

Either replace the PSU or risk frying everything.

Which will cost more than another PSU

659007 2008-04-15 22:08:00 Don't stuff around. You can't afford a PSU because you're a kid? Then you can't afford to replace your PC parts if something goes wroong.
Ask mummy to buy one. Coolermaster do some good ones that aren't too expensive.

You need a proper PSU, end of story. I've seen the results of this messing about with power adapters. It doesn't work.

DO NOT try connecting the graphic card to that PSU, 14a!!!!, is not enough, you will damage the card motherboard and cpu if you are unlucky!!
