366761 2005-06-25 05:42:00 I have known computer crashes where nobody was even near them. Mine for instance where during a lightning storm I had removed the power plug but forgot the telephone line. My modem was fried (my home insurance covered it). Then years ago at the school here I worked we kept on getting hard drive failures. I pointed out to the nice ladies operating the computers that the hard drive had its head just floating above the disk which was spinning at fabulous speed. Obviously we didn't want collisions. Knee tremblers were a constant hazard. There was a howl from one particular person. Yes she was a knee trembler - problem solved. I think hard drives nowadays are better able to stand this sort of treatment but even so keep them in a shock proof environment.

366762 2005-06-25 05:45:00 Excuse me?

In case its beyond your comprehension Ele was trying to belittle the kid for using the word crash to describe a system crash . Even though it is the exact word that should have been used .

If anything, I should be thanked, Though I will graciously accept any offer of drugs, I would imagine you have a large stash somewhere . Though you can keep the ones that keep you dim, They work far to well .

Oh damn, Did I repeat the same crap back to you as you just dished out? Now I have sunk to your "drugs" level, and there you were putting yourself on a pedastool . Bugger .

Amazes me how some would jump right into the fray while putting down the exact same actions they just took part in .
Metla (12)
366763 2005-06-25 06:04:00 Your problem Metla, is that you take yourself far too seriously, and mistake other people for doing the same. You were not defending techiekid, you were definitely jusmping down Ele's throat. Ele should have been wise to you and your ways though, and should have been more subtle.

Lighten up and enjoy life, and stop being so childish about these thing. It was cute once, and now has become cloying.
vinref (6194)
366764 2005-06-25 06:08:00 vinref and Metla:

Both of you please lighten up. PM each other if you wish to discuss each other's finer qualities. I've banned one person today, and I don't want to add to it.

Techiekid: If you wish to discuss your computer crash further (technical details etc), then it is best you start a new thread, sorry. This one has gone way past it now.

Locking thread.
