| 1425190 | 2016-08-30 09:23:00 | this morning I had to shut the computer down. Waited some minutes, then re-booted. It was an HOUR at least before the screen came alive. Something is seriously wrong here. Can someone help please? | jayal (1291) | ||

| 1425193 | 2016-08-30 21:25:00 | More Detail. Why did you have to shut it down? Does it take that long every time now or was it just the once? do you shut down regularly or do you leave it running? What are your system specs, was it ok before now, how full is the hard drive. Better to flood us with useless information than tell us virtually nothing. |

| 1425194 | 2016-08-30 21:59:00 | okay dugimodo, here goes - I've had this problem since I installed W10. With advice from W10 forums, the replies were extensive and practical but never solved the "Slow" problem. Initially time to restart was around 15 minutes . I don't turn the computer off just have a screen saver. The recent close/restart was, I think, from Ccleaner. Following is from Belarc, hope this is useful Users (mouse over user name for details) local user accounts last logon user-000 8/31/2016 7:51:00 AM (admin) local system accounts Disabled Administrator 11/21/2010 4:47:20 PM (admin) Disabled DefaultAccount never Disabled Guest never HomeGroupUser$ never Disabled Marks a disabled account; Locked out Marks a locked account Printers HP Deskjet 2540 series on USB002 HP Deskjet D2500 series on LPT1: Microsoft Print To PDF on PORTPROMPT: Microsoft Shared Fax Driver on SHRFAX: Microsoft XPS Document Writer v4 on PORTPROMPT: Nitro Reader Driver 5 on Nitro PDF Port: Controllers ATA Channel 0 [Controller] ATA Channel 1 [Controller] Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller Display NVIDIA GeForce 7025 / NVIDIA nForce 630a [Display adapter] ViewSonic VA1926wSERIES [Monitor] (19.1"vis, s/n QQT075121762, December 2007) Bus Adapters Microsoft iSCSI Initiator Microsoft Storage Spaces Controller NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller (2x) Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller Multimedia NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM) VIA HD Audio(Win 10) Virus Protection [Back to Top] avast! | 1425195 | 2016-08-30 22:02:00 | It was an HOUR at least before the screen came alive. was there NOTHING on the screen ? were the fans etc going was the monitor power light on win10 has a habit of doing updates when least expected , if its a major update it can sit there for 1/2 hour or more before win loads up again, but should at least get the circling dots |

| 1425197 | 2016-08-30 22:13:00 | You didnt install Nvidia firewall did you. Which the chipset drivers can install. If you didn't untick it. This is crap. It can also corrupt files. Send me a PM if you want, and I'll check it out with TV |
