1424897 2016-08-25 00:09:00 We had fiber installed by what was Telecom last September so 12 month contract due to expire in couple of weeks.
We had on-going problems with buffering and quite slow speeds.
Last night was bad trying to watch online video and same this morning.....
Sick & tied of trying to get it fix so thinking of moving providers.
2 question, good reliable providers and any cost or problems changing?

1424898 2016-08-25 00:51:00 would have been Spark - they have been Spark since 8 August 2014

I know - doesn't seem like 2 years already! lol

1424899 2016-08-25 00:57:00 TrueNet speeds show Spark are pretty good. What you're best off doing is getting a better router. You're not using the one they supplied, are you?

Yer, got the fancy white gigabyte they give out to the Dunedin ones.
I changed all Ethernet cables to cat 6 and both computers connected with them.

I know, but keep this between us, my wife & I have both been unwell over 10 years and disability dont pay a lot.
Short answer cant afford to buy one, so we took best option offered to us.
Huawei, I understand, provides the hardware for Sparks 4G network, so cant be all bad???

1424904 2016-08-25 02:22:00 You'd be changing, but you wouldn't get any benefit from it if you kept your router, so you need to get a new one. Spark are arguably one of the more consistent ones with their speeds, so stick with them and save up for a better router. Chilling_Silence (9)
1424905 2016-08-25 02:38:00 Was thinking that too.
What I want and what I've asked heaps of times is for them to send a serviceman out to check everything.
But gave up.
Hitting my head against the wall was getting too much.
