The snipers fired from an elevated positions on police officers minutes before 9 p . m . , Dallas Police Chief David Brown told reporters . "We believe that these suspects were positioning themselves in a way to triangulate on these officers from two different perches in garages in the downtown area, and planned to injure and kill as many law enforcement officers as they could," he said . Some were shot in the back . Police have cornered one of the suspected shooters in a parking garage, Brown said, and were negotiating with him . Brown said police believe the suspects may have threatened to have plant a bomb in the downtown area, and were in contact with the FBI and federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives . Police initially said three officers were killed, two others were in surgery and three were in critical condition . Dallas police later announced that "a fourth officer has been killed . " It is unclear if that officer is among the 11 shot . This is time sensitive, so get it while it's hot . NBC-TV is a very major network across the US, and is the network of Hollywood, and so it goes . . . . . . . . It's a very unfortunate loss of life no matter what the politics involved . ; |

Any group of protesters or militants or religionists are considered political with agendas of their own. "Human rights" except where divinely deigned, are political because they reflect the attitude of the current conquering party which here in the US is decided every four years. |

Of course it is not very nice, but it is the sort of thing that happens on a regular basis, so why should it be reported? I heard, just after the previous shooting, that there is a mass shooting in America every day. A mass shooting is defined as four or more victims. For that reason I can't understand why the media would consider a mass shooting news when it happens daily. Thank goodness we live in a country where that sort of thing is very rare. |
